The Region of Lazio offers everything from sea and nature to good food and lovely villages rich in history and art. Rome, Italy’s capital, is a sprawling, cosmopolitan city with nearly 3,000 years of globally influential art, architecture and culture on display. Ancient ruins such as the Roman Forum and the Colosseum evoke the power of the former Roman Empire. And around Rome, the hills, lakes, rivers and vineyards make for a kaleidoscope of diversity and attractions for nature lovers.

  • Emilia Romagna

Centro Yoga Om, Vilanova i la Geltru Image

Emilia Romagna lies between the River Po to the north and the Apennine Mountains to the south. It is one of the most fertile and productive regions of Italy, thanks to the mitigating effect that the Adriatic Sea has on the coastal climate. The diversity between the mountains and sea offers visitors to Emilia Romagna breathtaking landscapes but the region is also known for music, cinema and art. The beautiful landscape of the Apennines makes the region ideal for horseback riding or trekking in the area between parma and Piacenza and the natural spas of Salsomaggiore and Bagno di Romagna are very popular. The region is also famous for it's culinary delights including prosciutto di Parma and Parmesan cheese. This is also the land of Verdi's novels, Pascoli's poetry and Fellini's cinema. The regional capital of Emilia Romagna is Bologna.

  • Tuscany & Umbria

Centro Yoga Om, Vilanova i la Geltru Image

Tuscany is located in central Italy and stretches from the Apennines to the Tyrrhenian Sea. The regional capital is Florence. The coast alternates between long, sandy beaches and rocky cliffs and steep headlands. Medieval villages, historical towns, castles and country churches and beautiful abbeys are scattered all over the territory. Finally, Tuscany is full of spas: Montecatini, Saturnia, Montepulciano, Monsummano and Bagno Vignoni all offer relaxing holidays thanks to their thermal waters. Umbria, which borders Tuscany, comprises mainly hills, mountains, hollows and plains and extends along the Tiber’s central basin. At the heart of the Italy, it is the only region with no coastline. It does include, however, Lake Trasimeno, central Italy’s largest lake. The regional capital is Perugia.

    Comments:
"We were very pleased indeed with the accommodation and location. Everything was very very clean and tidy and very quiet. The pool was secure so kids could not wander off on their own and the kitchen was well fitted out with a proper oven and 4 ring gas hob. Bedrooms large and airy with large living space. The hosts Helen and Steve could not have been more accommodating or helpful and our kids has soon befriended their children. They had supplied a welcome hamper and a home cooked meal was waiting for us in the fridge for dinner that evening. Highly recommended"
