  • Activo Park, Valnerina

    Activo park is located along the banks of the Fiume Nera (Black River), at the medieval village of Scheggino (Valnerina). The park covers about 25 hectares. It is the ideal destination for trips and excursions, both educational and recreational for those who love contact with nature, sports and the outdoors. There are a wide variety of activities for all ages, from pedal go-karts, zip slides, mini golf, junior archery, archery, badminton and canopy tours in the trees.

    The park has picnic and BBQ areas, restaurant (open 12:30 - 2:30pm) with a children's menu and bar. Medical assistance, toilets are also available. Register and book on-line and receive a €5 discount. The park is not open all year round. Consult the website for more information and prices which vary depending on height. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Torre Alfina

    The town of Torre Alfina is located about 30 minutes from Orvieto, near Castel Viscardo. Most come for its gelateria, Sarchioni, which has a menu of 20 or more ice cream sundaes kids can choose from. After gelato, they can run off their sugar high by climbing the towns winding streets to reach the gates of the castle, which is privately owned and closed to the public. 

  • The Park of the Monsters, Bomarzo

    The Park of the Monsters is a popular attraction at Bomarzo, near Viterbo. The verdant, wooded park is decorated with dozens of huge, fantastic sculptures carved “in situ” out of solid rock and created in the Renaissance.

  • Beaches at Lago di Trasimeno

    This picturesque lake is ringed by swimming and sunning beaches, restaurants and ancient villages. Ferry service and boat rentals are available to take visitors to the three islands in the lake, one of which has been inhabited since the 14th century.
