The Bilingual European School of Milan

The Bilingual European School of Milan was established in 1999 as a continuation of the British American pre-school with whom it shares a building. In 2005, the school became an International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) Primary Years Programme (PYP) candidate school and in 2006 the school was fully accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education. BES provides a 50-50 bilingual model of education, with approximately 50% of a students learning in Italian and approximately 50% in English. Their goal is for all students is to develop proficient communication and academic skills in both languages and to be able to use both of these languages in future learning.
